Charity: Water — Highlighting The Dangers of Unsafe Drinking Water

With children contributing to an overwhelming percentage of deaths caused by unsafe drinking water I wanted this campaign to really show the innocence, creativity and imagination lost by the one thing we often take for granted every day.

By illustrating bacteria and viruses as monsters that a child would draw, the goal is to educate and depict the risks of unsafe drinking water, specifically in regards to its effect on children, through the eyes of children. Part of our advertising strategy was to thoughtfully place harmful water callouts near any safe-drinking water fountains for increased impact and perspective.

In addition to public water callouts, we partnered with three of the most popular in-store brands of drinking water to help drive further awareness and dontations to those in need.

 
 

We took each of the children’s monster illustrations and created waterproof stickers as a part of a limited edition package for charitable donations. Each reusable aluminum water bottle came with a random print of one of the child-drawn illustrations and a complete set of stickers, allowing each donor to style their bottle however they see fit.
